…. and a visit to the beautiful town and lake at Bled

We take great pleasure in introducing you to this beautiful and friendly country bordered by Austria and Italy for our Singles holiday to Slovenia. The scenery like its neighbours is Alpine but the Slovenian Alps are less well-known and therefore less touristy. The resort we have chosen lies in the Bohinj valley at the foot of the Julian Alps and on the shores of Lake Bohinj. A walk to some of the nearby villages is like taking a walk back in time, with simple agricultural techniques, Austrian style chalets, beautiful displays of flowers and the sound of cow bells on the surrounding hillsides.

This destination is a paradise for those who love the outdoors with endless activities on offer to while away the balmy days and relaxing options for those who want to take it a bit easier. We can picnic and sunbathe on the meadows by the side of the lake and take a dip in its crystal clear waters. We have designed a programme of walks, a half day bike ride through villages or for the more adventurous there are mountain bike trails, and a visit to Bled, where you can take a boat to the beautiful islet with the famous church. There is an optional half day of rafting on the lake and down the river with full instruction. On your free day you can laze and swim in the lake, try canyoning, climbing, paragliding or you might want to take the bus and spend a day in Ljubjana. Steve will also offer a photography workshop for those interested in learning a bit more about outdoor photography with your camera whether film or digital, compact or SLR.

Our walks will be easy to moderate incorporating the shores of the beautiful Lake Bohinj and the lower slopes of the Julian Alps. We will visit the Savica waterfall. “Its water bursts from under the ground of the Dolina sedmerih jezer (The Seven Triglav Lakes Valley) through the walls of Komarèa at Savica Waterfall, which is the most famous Slovenian waterfall. The Falls drop almost 51 meters into a natural basin below.
We will be staying 7 nights half board in the friendly 4 star Hotel Jezero in the village of Ribcev Laz and just a stones throw away from the shores of Lake Bohinj. Completely renovated all rooms have en suite facilities, direct telephone. The Hotel has a lovely restaurant which is typical Slovenian. Breakfast is self service and your evening meal, is a choice of menus that also include dishes for vegetarians. The hotel has a covered terrace, bar, café, internet corner and wireless internet. Price includes indoor swimming pool, fitness room, saunas and mini golf. Solarium and massages are optional extras. There are other bars and cafés nearby to meet and reminisce after our days activities, relax and let your gaze rest on the Bohinj mountains at sunset as the mysterious silence slowly descends over the lake.
The trip will be accompanied by Steve, your guide and holiday leader for the week. They will be there to ensure that your holiday is as enjoyable as possible. 

Prices for the Singles Activity Holiday to Slovenia include flights, airport transfers and half board accommodation in 4 star hotel. Accommodation is in twin share en suite rooms. There are single en suite rooms and double (single occupancy) en suite rooms available with supplements, or we will match you up with someone of the same sex. A local payment of 85 Euros is payable on this trip for locally purchased transport and services.  You will also need to bring some cash for drinks, lunches and personal expenditure. This is a great holiday for singles in Slovenia, with activites, fun and relaxation in great company.
